Three explosions killed at least 30 people in a suburb near the Syrian capital of Damascus, state media reported.
The blasts injured 40 others Sunday in Sayeda Zeynab, according to SANA news agency.
“Terrorists” detonated a car bomb at a bus terminal, followed shortly by two suicide bombings that targeted onlookers and medics at the scene of the initial attack, an interior ministry official told the news agency.
The attack happened while representatives from the regime of President Bashar al- Assad and the main Syrian opposition are in Geneva, Switzerland, in an attempt to end the country’s civil war.
