Two miners who had been trapped in a gypsum mine in China for 36 days have been rescued, China’s state-run CCTV reported Friday night.
At least two other miners are known to be trapped and alive in the mine in eastern China’s Pingyi County in Shandong Province.
Rescuers were using a man-size capsule to extract the four. A similar method was used in 2010 to rescue miners trapped in a Chilean mine for more than two months.
