Walter R. Kulp, 90, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
He was born Jan. 16, 1926 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Richard and Ethel (Rogers) Kulp.
Mr. Kulp retired in 1983 after 25 years as a meat cutter manager at the former Riverside Market.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II.
He was a member of Philipsburg Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Clearfield American Legion.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Duffee and her husband, Michael of Clearfield and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. (Smeal) Kulp, on July 7, 2006 and to whom he was wed in 1950 at the Philipsburg Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Della Shimmel, Ruth Andrews and Edna Martin and five brothers, Daniel, George, Joe, John and Carl Kulp.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Joseph Rohrbacker officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
