Donna M. Reilly, 76, of DuBois died Monday, Jan. 25, 2016 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born July 10, 1939 in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Wanda Skupien.
She was married to Patrick J. Reilly on Jan. 16, 1960 at the U.S. Marine Corps Base in Camp Lejeune, NC. He survives.
She was a registered nurse (RN) and had graduated from the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a school nurse with the DuBois Area School District, but her real love was womenswear and fashion. She was the former owner of Patricia’s Bridal Shop in DuBois.
She was actively engaged as a division leader for several United Way fund drives. As a long-term cancer survivor, she was the area director of the American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery program for many years.
She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Debra A. Petak and her husband, Joseph of Gibsonia and Elizabeth A. DeWyer and her husband, J.R. and Patrick J. Reilly Jr. and his wife, Bridget, both of DuBois.
She is survived by six grandchildren, Sean, Tanecha, Tara, Tessa, Aaron and Natalie. She is also survived by her sister, Rebecca Bimel, and brother, Donald Skupien, both of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Skupien.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.
