France’s Justice Minister, Christiane Taubira, has resigned, according to a statement from the office of President Francois Hollande.
Her resignation came ahead of a parliamentary debate on plans to empower the government to strip convicted terrorists of their French nationality, which Taubira had expressed reservations over.
