Pastor David Earl Bish, 54, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016.
Born March 27, 1961 in New Kensington, he was the son of Bill and Miriam (Neal) Bish. His mother preceded him in death; his father survives and lives in Smicksburg.
On June 15, 1985, he married Lori (Dunn) Bish. She survives.
He was the founding and lead pastor of the Tri-County Church. He loved to hunt, fish, read, spend time with his dogs and ride his motorcycle. Most importantly, he loved his family and friends.
He dedicated his life to serving God by reaching people and changing lives. As a church leader, his highest value was living like Jesus, loving like Jesus and leaving behind what Jesus left behind. He would want everyone to know that Jesus is, and always should be the subject.
He is survived by four children, Braden Mark Bish of Pittsburgh and Jocelyn Beth Godo and her husband, Jakob, Kyle David Bish and Bevan Earl Bish, all of DuBois; three sisters, MaryBeth Grujich, Dottie Kirk and Diane Green; and a brother, Mark Bish and their families.
There will be no public visitation.
Two, identical Celebration of Life services will be held. The first will be Saturday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. and the second one Sunday, Jan. 31, at 10:45 a.m. at the Tri-County Church on the Hill.
The Rev. Jim Lyon, National Director for the Church of God ministries, will co-officiate each service with the Rev. Dan Smith, executive pastor of Tri-County Church.
In order to accommodate all who wish to attend, respectfully choose one of the two identical services. If you are unable to attend, the service will be streamed live online at www.livestream.com/tcclive.
Although flowers are appreciated, the family would prefer donations in memory be made to the Tri-County Church, 1881 Old 255 Rd., DuBois, PA 15801. The donations will benefit the My Story Campaign.
The Goble-Baronick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
