Mary K. Mains, 80, DuBois died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at her home.
Born April 13, 1935 in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Karl and Margaret (Marando) Beiser.
On Aug. 1, 1953, she married William A. Mains Jr. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2011.
She retired as the neo-natal Unit secretary at the DuBois Regional Medical Center after many years of service.
She was a lifetime member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Susan M. Hartzfeld and her husband, Howard, Karen J. Mains and Charlene R. Hoover and her husband, David, all of DuBois, William A. Mains III of Luthersburg, Kathy Rhodes and her husband, Ronald of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Collene T. Palmer and her husband, Fred of Brockway; two sisters, Jean Godeck of California and Rose Marie Suplizio of West Virginia; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A scriptural wake service will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
