Bill Hayes was born and raised in the Kishacoquillas Valley. Following graduation from Lafayette College and four years of active duty, his plans to attend law school were interrupted when Kish Bank came knocking. Hayes joined Kish Bank as a teller/management trainee. At that time, the bank had just $10 million in assets and fewer than 20 employees.
