MEN’S SWIMMING
NEW WILMINGTON — Freshman Michael Spencer (Clearfield) was a doublewinner for Westminster in non-conference losses to undefeated Carnegie Mellon 161-131 and once-beaten SUNY Geneseo 166-131 Saturday.
He won the 50-yard freestyle in 21.98 seconds and anchored the Titan 200 medley relay team that triumphed in 1:36.37.
The Titans, who cracked the College Swimming Coaches Association of American Top 25 NCAA Division III Poll at No. 24 last week, are 7-2.

TIFFIN, Ohio — Freshman Alex Shugarts (Clearfield) placed in three individual events for Edinboro in a 78-44 loss to Tiffin Saturday.
He finished second in his first 500-yard freestyle race with a time of 5:07.12, took fourth in the 100 free in 22.86 seconds and was fifth in the 200 free in 1:53.28.
Shugarts also placed third against both opponents in the 100 free in 49.42 and fourth in the 100 butterfly in 54.46.
The Fighting Scots own a 2-3 dual meet record.

WOMEN’S SWIMMING
TIFFIN, Ohio — Sophomore Kara Thorp (Clearfield) placed in two freestyle distance events for Edinboro in a 70-61 win over Tiffin Saturday.
She touched second in the 1,000 free in 12:16.04 and third in the 500 free in 5:56.44.
The Fighting Scots are 3-2.

WRESTLING
ATHENS, Ohio — Up a weight at 157 pounds, redshirt junior Jake Keller (Curwensville) lost a major decision as Clarion was dealt a 40-4 setback by Ohio University Saturday.
Spartak Chino, a three-time NCAA qualifier, registered five takedowns, three in the final period, in his 15-7 win over Keller, now 2-7 in dual meets and 8-11 overall.
The Golden Eagles fell to 4-8 in dual meets.
