William G. Clark Sr., 95, of Ansonville went home to be with his Lord Tuesday, Jan. 12 at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital. Mr. Clark was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was born May 4 1920 in Ansonville, the son of the late John and Anna (Olson) Clark.
He was a life member of Richard L. Beers VFW Post 7043 Coalport. He worked as a coal miner for Greenwich.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Judy Clark of Curwensville; a son, William G Clark Jr. of Ansonville; a daughter, Janis Peterson of Irvona; a daughter, Anna Jane Hoover of Grassflat; and a daughter, Bonnie Fleming of Ansonville.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Arleta E. Shaffer; four sons-in-law, Richard Peterson, William Fleming, Allen Rowles and Leslie Hoover; three brothers, John, Aaron Clark and Robert; and four sisters, Alice Fravel, Janet Bond, Christine McMasters and Betty Cillo.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Engle officiating.
Burial will follow in the, Fruit Hill Cemetery, Ansonville.
