CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Arts studio Theatre Inc. (CAST) Artistic Director, Gayle Gearhart, has launched a new program for area theater companies to share actors, directors, spaces and performances.
The first CAST Reader’s Theatre Company selection, “Love, Loss, and What I Wore”, is written by Nora Ephron with her daughter, Delia, and based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman.
Performances will take place at The Liddle Gallery in Clearfield on Jan. 22 at 7 p.m., at the Rowland Theater in Philipsburg on Jan. 23 at 2 p.m., and at the Reitz Theatre in Dubois on Jan. 24 at 2 p.m.
An ensemble of five actresses will explore the many aspects of womanhood. Both funny and moving, this play moves quickly and gracefully through the feminine wiles, worries, wanderlust and wonder. Pictured from left to right are performers Lisa Boyle, Barb Schmaus, Rebecca Inlow, Rachel Duke and Jody Grumblatt.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at each venue prior to each performance.
Following the performances, light refreshments will be provided. The director and performers will provide a talk-back session and lead a discussion about the performance.
