Fans flocked to David Bowie’s hometown of Brixton in south London to pay tribute to the music legend in a touching mass sing-along.
The lyrics of Bowie’s biggest hits reverberated through the streets, crowds singing in unison as an acoustic guitarist carried each tune.
“There’s a starman waiting in the sky / He’d like to come and meet us / But he thinks he’d blow our minds,” they sang.
Melodies of “Rebel Rebel” and “Space Oddity” had a similar effect, unifying fans as they sang.
Even though Ziggy Stardust is gone, his fans made sure to celebrate the icon with an ethusiastic, jumping dance, as they shouted along to “Let’s Dance.”
