Roy Robert Clark Sr., 75, of New Millport died Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at his residence. Born March 4, 1940 in Clearfield, he was the son of the late Robert and Alzada (Miller) Clark.
Mr. Clark served four years in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Oak Ridge Union Church, where he was the song leader.
He worked as a truck driver for Roger Kephart and as an equipment operator for Glenn O. Hawbaker.
He married Shirley Jasper on Dec. 6, 1958. She died Aug. 8, 2003. He then married Charlotte Litzinger on March 28, 2005, and she survives at home.
Mr. Clark was an avid horseman and also enjoyed fishing, hunting and four-wheelers. But above all, he loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Robin Baney and Teresa Hamilton, both of Clearfield, and three sons, Roy Clark Jr. and his wife, Cheryl and Steven Clark and his wife, Barbie, both of Clearfield, and Adam “Buck” Clark and his wife, Melody of Osceola Mills.
He is survived by two step-sons, David McLaughlin and his wife, Nikki and John McLaughlin, both of Evansville, Ind.; two sisters, Nancy Cathcart of Olanta and Virginia Martinez of Ocala, Fla.; and one brother, Wayne Clark and his wife, Bonnie, of Williamsport.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Madera.
Private burial will take place in Alexander Cemetery, Madera.
