C. Thomas Woodel, 70, of DuBois died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Born April 2, 1945, he was the son of the late Carl and Aldine (Thomas) Woodel.
Mr. Woodel retired from S&T Bank after 32 years of service. After retirement, he then worked at Wal-Mart in DuBois.
He was a member of the Garfield Lodge No. 559 Free and Accepted Masons. He enjoyed country music and was well-known in the area for singing and playing in various local bands.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. He was also previously active in the DuBois Little League and Midget Football.
He is survived by his children, Kimberly Shaffer and her husband, Tim and Heather Olson and her companion, Robert Desmett, all of Curwensville; Shelly Walls and her husband, Jerry “Bud” of Sykesville; and Matthew Woodel and his wife, Heather of Reynoldsville.
He made his home with Eileen Stoneberg. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Woodel was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Charles M. Lee Jr. officiating.
The Garfield Lodge No. 559 F&AM will conduct services at 10:45 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
