CLEARFIELD – Registration has opened for the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library’s upcoming story session.
In Just Chillin’ pre-school aged children will prevent the winter blues through a variety of stories, games, activities, crafts and music.
The PA Forward initiative, launched by the Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) in 2012, supports the efforts of libraries across the state as leaders in community education.
At least one of the five literacies of PA Forward will help guide discussions within the story session theme.
The six-week program begins the week of Feb. 1. The Shaw Public Library is once again offering baby time, toddler time and story time sessions for area pre-schoolers ages 6 months through 5 years of age.
Baby time classes are open to children ages 6 months through 2 years of age on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Toddler time classes, for children ages 2 to 3 years of age, will follow on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:15 a.m. until 12 p.m.
On Tuesdays, there will be two story time classes, the first from 10:30 a.m. until 11: 30 a.m. and the second from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. for all 4 and 5 year olds.
Parents and guardians may contact the library to register for any of the above programs.

Shaw Public Library is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Fridays from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
