CLEARFIELD – Joseph B. Bower Jr., president and chief executive officer of CNB Bank, recently announced the promotion of Carolyn Buzzanca Smeal to the position of vice president/operations.
With more than 40 years of experience at CNB, Smeal has maintained her concentration in the deposit operations division and systems management, making many significant contributions to the bank.
She plays a critical role on multiple task forces and committees every year. Past positions she has held at the bank include customer information system administrator, eBanking administrator, operations officer, and assistant vice president/deposit operations.
“Carolyn’s hard work and dedication have been instrumental in our growth and development,” said Bower. “Her years of experience and knowledge in CNB’s operations are vital to the bank’s strategic growth and have led to this much deserved promotion.”
A native of Clearfield, Smeal graduated from Clearfield Area High School in 1973 and has taken numerous general and specialized banking courses from the Pennsylvania Banker’s Association/Professional Development Network (PBA/PDN).
Earlier this year, Smeal was inducted into the PBA’s 40-Year Club. Each year, the PBA recognizes bankers completing 40 or more years of service in Pennsylvania’s banking industry and who are regular members of the PBA.
Smeal resides in Clearfield with her husband, Darrell, and is a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church. She volunteers her time serving on the Clearfield County SPCA board of directors.
