Mary Helen (Berhosky) Gallagher, 85, of Pittsburgh and formerly of Morann, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2016 at home.
Born March 16, 1930 in Morann, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Annie (Temo) Berhosky.
She was a retired secretary from the Charles County (Maryland) Board of Education. She was a parishioner of the St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Indian Head, Md.
She married John R. Gallagher Sr. who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2011.
She is survived by a son, John Jr., a daughter, Deborah; a daughter-in-law, Andrea; and five grandchildren, Jessica, Christina, and Matthew Begley and Ryan Jacob and Samuel Noah Gallagher.
She is also survived by two sisters, Martha Gordon of Philadelphia and Catherine Reilly and her husband, Tom of Douglassville and two sisters-in-law, Donna Berhosky of State College and Helen Berhosky of Tampa, Fla.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, John and Mike Berhosky and sister, Margaret Tokarchek.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, with Father Marc Solomon officiating.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
