Susan Beals, 59, of West Decatur died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at her residence. Born July 21, 1956 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of Clair “Huck” and Nancy Evans Husted of West Decatur.
She was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, West Decatur. She loved spending time with her grandchildren camping and Penn State football. She was retired from the Penn State University.
She married Mahlon Beals III on Feb. 12, 1994 in Philipsburg. He survives in West Decatur. She is survived by a daughter, Krista Sherwood and her husband, David of Glen Richey and two grandchildren, Luke and Kendall.
Mrs. Beals is also survived by a sister, Shirley Coulter and her husband, Patrick of West Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale, with Pastor Anna Fyock officiating.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
