DECATUR TOWNSHIP – Three teens were injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday on the Old Highway 322 in Decatur Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.
According to state police, a Philipsburg teen was traveling west when she lost control of her vehicle on the wet roadway. She was negotiating a right-hand curve at the time.
Her vehicle traveled off the north shoulder for approximately 96 feet. It impacted some shrubbery and a small tree with its passenger’s side.
After impact with the tree, her vehicle overturned onto its roof. It came to a final rest approximately 33 feet off of the north shoulder, state police said.
The teen driver was wearing her seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. She had two teen boys traveling with her; an Osceola Mills boy was wearing his seatbelt and sustained minor injuries.
A Philipsburg boy wasn’t wearing his seatbelt and sustained moderate injuries in the accident. All three teens were transported by emergency personnel to the hospital for treatment, state police said.
State police were assisted at the scene by the Philipsburg Fire Department, Fire Police, Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services and towing services.
