Joan Collins, 74, of Clearfield died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at her home.
She was born June 8, 1941 in Penn Township, a daughter of the late Frank ‘Pete’ and Lorraine (Witherite) Adnisky.
During her 47 years of marriage, she was a farm wife who faithfully helped her husband operate Collin’s Dairy Farm.
She enjoyed sewing, crafts and cooking. She was unconditionally devoted to her family.
She is survived by three children, Michele Moyer and her husband, Jim, Kimberly Michaels and her husband, Robert and Christopher Collins and his wife, Nancy, all of Clearfield.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Michael Moyer, Seth Michaels, Amy Fry and her husband, Dan and Zachary Lawhead and his wife, Tonya; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brandon Fry, Zoe Lawhead and Josh Bowery; and two sisters, Carole Jury and her husband, Mel of Stronach and Karen Barger and her husband, Wilbur of Shiloh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David O. Collins, on Jan. 2, 2008 and to whom she wed Oct. 7, 1961 in Clearfield.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dolores ‘DeeDee’ Antonuk and Mona Adnisky and two brothers, William and John Adnisky.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Stephen DeSantis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
