CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week. Shaw identified the fugitive as Brandon Fink, 29, of Pine Street, Clearfield.

Shaw stated that Fink is wanted in three, separate cases for failure to appear at Motions Court on Dec. 8 and for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing on Dec. 16.

On Aug. 5, Sgt. Greg Neeper of the Clearfield Borough Police Department filed two criminal complaints against Fink. He charged Fink with theft by unlawful taking, M1, and receiving stolen property, M1.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 27 Neeper received two reports about an alleged employee theft. Both victims related that Fink had recently been employed at both businesses.

Upon investigation both employers allegedly noticed numerous “no sale” transactions and money missing. When confronted about the alleged thefts, Fink admitted to taking money from both businesses over a period of time.

A preliminary hearing was held on Sept. 23, at which time all charges were held to court. On Dec. 8 Fink failed to appear at Motions Court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

In a separate case, Officer Daniel Podliski of the Clearfield Borough Police Department filed a criminal complaint on Oct. 26. He charged Fink with inhale toxic releasing substances, M3.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Oct. 25 officers responded to a report about a male, later identified as Fink, who was allegedly to be inhaling a noxious substance.

Upon arrival Fink was allegedly observed passed out and unresponsive. Fink then briefly gained consciousness and allegedly again inhaled the substance. Fink was transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital.

A preliminary hearing was held Dec. 16, at which time Fink failed to appear, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Fink is described as a Caucasian male standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall. He has brown hair and eyes.

Anyone with knowledge of Fink’s location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.
