State police at Clearfield

• State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Dec. 15-16 on Meyers Road in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used an object to damage the victim’s mailbox. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
• State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Dec. 16-17 on Williams Road in Graham Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used an object to damage the victim’s mailbox. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
• State police received a report about an alleged incident of forgery that occurred Dec. 17 on Dutchtown Road in Bigler Township. During the incident, a Houtzdale teen allegedly forged the victim’s name on a check and made it out in the amount of $200. The teen then allegedly cashed the check at a local bank. State police are continuing their investigation of the incident.

State police at DuBois

• State police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred Friday on Harris Drive in Brady Township. During the incident, a Punxsutawney man allegedly contacted the victim via Skype Chat and directed threats. State police are continuing their investigation of the incident.
• State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Dec. 17 or Friday at a Pavick Lane residence in Snyder Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged a door knob on the door to the victim’s residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
• State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Friday at a Pavick Lane residence in Snyder Township. During the incident, someone used a wooden bat to break the windshield on the victim’s vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.

State police at Philipsburg

• State police received a report about an accident that occurred Sunday at the intersection of North Ninth and East Pine streets in Philipsburg Borough. Further, a vehicle operated by a Philipsburg teen was traveling on North Ninth Street and proceeded through a steady red signal. At the same time, a vehicle operated by a Philipsburg man entered the intersection while traveling on East Pine Street under a steady green signal. The teen’s vehicle subsequently impacted the man’s vehicle and overturned multiple times before coming to a rest in the intersection of Ninth and East Spruce streets. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the accident, state police said. State police are continuing their investigation of the accident.

State police at Punxsutawney

• On Dec. 12 state police stopped a Knoxdale teen for a summary traffic violation on Knoxdale Road in Pine Creek Township. He was allegedly determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was also allegedly found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and related drug paraphernalia.
• State police received a report about an alleged simple assault that occurred Friday on Glenwood Avenue in Glen Campbell Borough. During the incident, a Glen Campbell female allegedly subjected the victim to unwanted physical contact. Charges will be filed against her through the district court, and the incident remains under investigation at this time.
• State police received a report about an alleged retail theft that occurred sometime between Oct. 14 and Saturday at the Wal-Mart in Young Township. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
• State police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft that occurred Dec. 8 at the Wal-Mart in Young Township. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
• On Sunday state police stopped a Punxsutawney man for an alleged traffic violation on Route 119 in Punxsutawney Borough. During the traffic stop, state police allegedly determined he was driving under the influence of a controlled substance. State police also allegedly located a suspected controlled substance and related drug paraphernalia inside his vehicle. Charges are currently pending at this time, state police said.
• State police received a report about an alleged incident of theft that occurred Dec. 11 at the Hetager Drilling business parking lot in Young Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado pick-up truck from the lot. It is dark blue in color with a Pennsylvania registration; also, it had several stickers in the back window, including Harley Davidson, Marines and Ruger. State police indicated that there were five guns in the vehicle at the time it was allegedly stolen, as well as a tree stand and several items of hunting clothing. Clearfield Borough

• Police received a call about an alleged incident of harassment by communications. During the incident, a known male was allegedly to be harassing a female.
• Police received a report about a bad check that was allegedly issued to a local business.
• Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident on SW Third Avenue.
• Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident on North Third Street in which a vehicle impacted a tree and caused damage.
• Police responded to an alleged disturbance in which a male allegedly jumped onto a moving vehicle.
• Police assisted emergency personnel on East Seventh Street with a female who was believed to have possibly been the victim of an assault. However, police determined there wasn’t any assault.
• Police assisted a motorist with unlocking their vehicle.
• Police received a report about a pit bull running loose in East End.
• Police responded to a call about a vehicle parked on the sidewalk and running. The driver was allegedly found to be intoxicated and arrested, police said.
• Police responded to Park Avenue for a vehicle accident that involved a deer. The vehicle was disabled and towed from the scene; there weren’t any injuries reported, police said.
• Police responded to Zimmerman Avenue for an alleged disturbance.  Upon arrival police allegedly heard a male hitting the wall and yelling.

DuBois City

• On Friday police were dispatched to the emergency room at Penn Highlands in regards to an alleged assault victim. Upon arrival the victim told police she was physically assaulted by her live-in boyfriend, a 29-year-old DuBois man. She said he allegedly began to argue with her when she went to leave the Locust Street residence. She said it allegedly turned physical when he grabbed her by the arms and hair, which left a bruise on her. Police said the man was arrested and transported to the county jail. He was later arraigned with his bail being set at $50,000 unsecured. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 31 before District Judge Pat Ford.
• On Friday police were dispatched to the Laundromat on West Long Avenue for a report about juveniles who were allegedly gathered inside and causing a disturbance. Upon arrival police removed the juveniles from the Laundromat. No arrests were made as a result of the incident, police said.
• Police received a report about an unwanted male Friday in the 200 block of West DuBois Avenue. Upon arrival police learned the male had allegedly been thrown out of the shelter due to his behavior. Police were able to relocate him to a men’s shelter in Clearfield. No arrests were made as a result of the incident, police said.
• Police received a report about a suspicious person Friday in the Evergreen Street area. A caller told police that someone may have attempted to open her door but fled when she went to investigate it. She described the person as wearing dark-colored clothing with a slim build. Police checked the area but were unable to locate anyone fitting the description.
• Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident Friday on Beaver Drive. Upon arrival police learned a DuBois man lost control of his vehicle and impacted a fire hydrant, which caused severe damage. No injuries were reported as a result, police said. DuBois fire and public works personnel assisted police at the scene.
• On Friday police were dispatched to the 800 block of DuBois Street for a male who was allegedly causing a problem. The caller told police that the male was upset due to his cable being out. Upon arrival police found him to be calm and cooperative; however, a records check indicated an outstanding warrant for him in Montour County. Police contacted the appropriate agency, which declined to have the warrant enforced; no arrests were made as a result of the incident.
• DuBois fire personnel were assisted Saturday with a reported structure fire on South High Street. Upon investigation police found a male was cooking when he fell asleep and the food began to burn. There wasn’t any damage to the structure, and fire crews were able to clear the scene.
• On Saturday police received a report about an alleged assault that occurred in the 200 block of East Washington Avenue. Upon arrival police were able to determine the caller had allowed another female to stay in her apartment for several days. She had accused the female of stealing a tablet and methamphetamine. She told police she made the female strip naked and prove she didn’t have the stolen items, and they began to engage in a physical altercation. Both women declined medical attention at the scene, and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were allegedly located in plain view, police said. Neither female admitted to possession and blamed each other; the caller refused to provide a written statement; and the other female declined prosecution, police said.
• On Saturday a DuBois woman was arrested for public drunkenness after she was allegedly seen staggering on the sidewalk in the 100 block of West Long Avenue. Police believed she was to the point of being a danger to herself.
• On Sunday police stopped a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado on Beaver Drive after its operator allegedly committed traffic violations. The operator, a 36-year-old Rockton man, was allegedly found to be intoxicated and arrested for DUI. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• Police received a report Sunday about an activated alarm at the Timberland Federal Credit Union on Beaver Drive. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
• Police received a report Sunday about an alleged incident of trespass that occurred in the 300 block of Hamor Street. Upon arrival police located a Sykesville man who was a friend of the renter but who was not to be there if the renter was not. The man left the residence without incident, police said.

Sandy Township

• On Friday a 28-year-old DuBois woman lost control of her vehicle when a deer ran out onto the Rich Highway. Her vehicle traveled off the roadway, entered the median, impacted two ditches and then re-entered the roadway with two flat tires. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident, police said.
• A 20-year-old Reynoldsville man was allegedly seen staggering around Wal-Mart on Friday. When employees approached him they allegedly found he had attempted to conceal items for sale by Wal-Mart. Upon arrival officers allegedly found the man was intoxicated and took him into custody. Charges will be filed as a result of the incident, police said.
• An Overdorf Avenue resident reported hearing multiple gun shots behind her home on Friday. Officers were unable to locate a source of the possible shots.
• A 17-year-old DuBois girl lost control of her vehicle on the Sandy Bridge, causing it to strike the side of the bridge on Friday. Her vehicle was driven from the scene, and no injuries were reported, police said.
• A 49-year-old Treasure Lake woman lost control of her vehicle Saturday on Treasure Lake Road. It subsequently impacted a parked vehicle and then traveled off the roadway over a small embankment into a yard. No injuries were reported, and moderate damage was reported to both vehicles, police said.
• On Saturday a 51-year-old Dubois woman was reportedly driving erratically in the area of Maple Avenue and Shaffer Road. Her vehicle impacted one at the intersection and then continued on Maple Avenue without stopping. While officers were responding to the location, they received a report about a vehicle that impacted a tree on South Eighth Street. Officers located the vehicle and the woman who had been operating it. Upon her allegedly failing field sobriety testing, she was taken to Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• Police received a report about a false alarm at TJ Maxx on Saturday.
• On Sunday a 53-year-old Washington, D.C. man who was a guest at the Holiday Inn Express alleged someone impacted and damaged his vehicle while it was parked at the hotel.
• A yellow lab mix was found in a yard on Kilmer Road on Sunday. Officers took custody of the dog.
