State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Wednesday on West Hanna Street in Woodward Township. During the incident, someone allegedly drove their vehicle onto the victim’s property and damaged the lawn. Further, they allegedly left approximately 250 feet of tire marks on the victim’s lawn. Damage is estimated at $100, state police said, and the incident remains under investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an accident that occurred Tuesday on Interstate 80 westbound in Lawrence Township. Further, a vehicle operated by Lorraine A. Douglas of Brockport was traveling on I-80 when a deer entered the roadway. Her vehicle collided with the deer, which caused disabling damage. Douglas sustained minor injuries as a result and was transported by her family for medical attention. Douglas was wearing her seatbelt.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an alleged theft that occurred sometime Dec. 10-11 on Hickory Road in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly punctured the hose that connects the gas cap to the victim’s gas tank and then accessed the tank by unknown means. They allegedly removed gas from the tank and then fled the scene.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred sometime between Oct. 1 and Dec. 13 on Hickory Road in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed road signs, which marked Hickory and Shoemaker roads. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
Clearfield Borough
- Police made contact with a male and found he had an active warrant through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office. The male was taken into custody and released to deputies from the sheriff’s office, police said.
- Police received a report about a package that was sent to a resident but didn’t arrive. Police located the package at a family member’s residence.
- Police assisted Lawrence Township police with a disabled tractor-trailer along Route 879.
- Police responded to Nichols Street for individuals who were allegedly loitering in the parking lot. Further, police located the individuals who were advised to leave the premises.
- Police investigated a report about an alleged incident of trespassing at a residence along Merrill Street.
- Police responded to an alleged disturbance along North Fifth Street. Police found that a brother and sister had engaged in an argument.
- Police responded to an activated alarm along Nichols Street. Further, police found the alarm to be false.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle traffic accident on Route 879 in Wolf Run.
- Police received a report about a lost, stolen or mislaid wallet.
- Police received a report about a disabled tractor-trailer on Route 879.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male on Old Town Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance on Patton Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct that involved a juvenile male.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male on Warren Drive.
- Police received a report about a civil issue, which allegedly resulted in harassment.
Sandy Township
- On Monday someone took “Road Closed” signs off of Sans Spur Road at the intersection of Wayne and Kitchen roads. Police are continuing their investigation.
- A 69-year-old DuBois man reported that while driving along Route 219 on Monday, something struck and damaged his windshield.
- Police received a request to check the welfare of a 38-year-old Hanes Drive woman on Monday. Officers spoke to a neighbor who stated they had seen the woman earlier in the day and she was OK. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Monday a man reported several tools had allegedly been stolen from his property in Treasure Lake. Police are continuing their investigation.
