MORRIS TOWNSHIP – A 38-year-old Morrisdale woman, Kori Sue Plotner, has been accused of stealing more than $19,000 from a local band booster club, reported the state police at Clearfield.
According to state police, Plotner served as treasurer of the West Branch Band Booster Club. While in that position, she allegedly stole cash funds from its fundraisers.
State police said between September of 2014 and October of this year, Plotner allegedly failed to deposit all of the funds that she collected from fundraisers into the club’s bank account.
Plotner allegedly stole approximately $19,608.82 in cash during that timeframe, state police said. She has subsequently been charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
Plotner has been scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing during Centralized Court on Jan. 6, 2016 at the Clearfield County Jail, according to state police.
