Goodbye, post-it notes on fridge doors. Now, your to-do lists have a new home.
Starting this week, Google will finally allow you to add reminders to Google Calendar.
“Often our to-do list is elsewhere, separate from the Calendar that organizes our day, and we end up overcommitted or miss something important because we forgot to check our list,” Google wrote on its official blog.
Unlike scheduled events that come and go, reminders will reappear day after day, until you complete a task and swipe it away.
Wait, it gets better: Not only will the new feature remind you to make that doctor’s appointment — it’ll give you the number to call too. Using information from your contacts, Reminders will integrate additional details like phone numbers and addresses that you need to carry out your task.
Plus, the feature isn’t limited to Google Calendar. You can create reminders from Google Inbox and Keep and they will seamlessly appear on your calendar. Or even simpler: Open Google Now, say “Ok Google, remind me to buy groceries,” and mark it as done on Calendar later.
