Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a hit-and-run accident at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop. Further, a tractor-trailer was stationary when another struck the driver’s side area of the cab. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of fraud that occurred at a Clark Street residence in Hillsdale.
- Police received a report about a pit bull that was reportedly loose in the Guinea Hill area. Further, police made contact with the owners and told them about the complaint.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a female and her young children at the intersection of Route 879 and Industrial Park Road.
- Police received a report about a deer that was struck on Washington Avenue.
- Police received a report about a possible missing female. The incident was listed as unfounded, police said.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who reportedly had overdose on alcohol.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity and or criminal mischief at Long John Silver.
- Police received a report about a neighbor dispute over a loose dog.
- Police responded to an alleged domestic dispute in the Williams Road area. It was handled by police at the scene.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday a 33-year-old Treasure Lake man reported that his 31-year-old friend from Kersey told him he had tires for his vehicle and came to pick it up to put them on. However, the Treasure Lake man had not heard from him since he took the car and was worried. Officers made contact with the man’s family members and handled the situation without incident.
- A vehicle driven by a 20-year-old DuBois man was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting another vehicle in front of him on Wednesday. That vehicle was driven by a 27-year-old DuBois man who was stopped in traffic; his vehicle was then pushed into the vehicle ahead of him. Minor injuries and moderate damage were reported as a result, police said.
- On Wednesday a 24-year-old Hanes Drive woman reported that she had been in a relationship with a 23-year-old man over the phone for several months. When she ended the relationship she said that the man allegedly continued to contact her, directed threats and harassed her. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police responded to a Hill Street residence for an alleged domestic dispute on Thursday. During the incident, a 26-year-old woman told police that she and her 30-year-old boyfriend were having a verbal only argument over money. Officers discovered the man had a warrant out for his arrest, and he was taken into custody.
- On Thursday a South Brady Street man alleged that someone hit and destroyed his mailbox. Neighbors witnessed an older Jeep Wrangler swerve and hit the mailbox and then after checking the damage, its operator left the scene.
- On Thursday a 25-year-old Brockway man was allegedly caught by Wal-Mart employees, concealing merchandise in his pants and then attempting to leave the store without paying for it. Retail theft charges were filed against him, police said.
