George A. Poshedly, 59, of Coalport died unexpectedly from a heart attack Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015.
Born Sept. 28, 1956 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late John E. and Mary A. Poshedly.
He is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Thomchick of State College, and Cecelia Sterling (Chuck) of Manassas, Va. He is also survived by a nephew, John J. “J.J.” Thomchick of Boston.
He graduated from the Glendale High School in 1974. He was employed for 39 years at the King Coal Sales in Philipsburg.
His interests included music and astronomy. One of his greatest pleasures was driving around in his pick-up truck to visit friends and relatives.
He will be remembered as a kind, gentle and generous person.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral Home in Ramey.
A funeral prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Fr. Zab Amar officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Trinity Catholic cemetery in Ramey.
