CLEARFIELD – A couple hundred members of the community gathered together to watch the light-up of the Christmas tree in the Clearfield County Courthouse Square on Saturday evening.
It was the first light-up event in downtown Clearfield in more than 15 years. Members of the community came with ornaments, which were nestled into the branches by the Clearfield Fire Department.
Those in attendance were treated to hot cocoa and coffee from the Salvation Army and Christmas goodies from the culinary arts program at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center.
The Clearfield Choral Society closed the light-up event with a selection of Christmas carols.
