Hannah M. Bezilla, 98, of Philipsburg and formerly of Osceola Mills, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg.
Born Jan. 1, 1917 in Houtzdale, she was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Phillips) Kennedy.
She married George B. Bezilla on Nov. 28, 1936 in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1983.
Mrs. Bezilla was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Bezilla; two sisters, Catherine Lane and Esther McKee; four brothers, Alvin, William, Allen and Elmer Kennedy; and a daughter-in-law, Carole Ryen Bezilla.
Mrs. Bezilla is survived by a daughter, Catherine Martin and her husband, John of Millville and two sons, William G. Bezilla of Woodland and Eugene L. Bezilla and his wife, Donna of Spartanburg, SC.
She is survived by two sisters, Erma Van Valkenburg of Osceola Mills and Frieda Merritt of Houtzdale; six grandchildren, Brian Bezilla, Bradley Bezilla, Beth Currie, Bridget Meggs, Stacey Bezilla and Brett Bezilla; six great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, Shelia Sidelinger, Shelly Thompson, Stacey Koziar, Victoria Gatto and Vincent Ryen; and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Father Robert Horgas as celebrant. Â Burial will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Houtzdale.
Friends and family will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.
