Elizabeth Opaliski, 73, of Clearfield and formerly of Curwensville, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015 at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh after a lengthy illness.
Born June 24, 1942 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Alec and Leona (Butts) Cochrane. Mrs. Opaliski was a homemaker and a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield.
On Aug. 5, 1961 in Maryland, she wed Joseph Charles Opaliski, who preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas and a sister, Leona.
Surviving are five children, Joseph C. Opaliski Jr. of Tarentum, Lisa Gabriel and her husband, George of Wexford and Timothy Opaliski and his wife, Stephanie, James J. Opaliski and his wife, Jennifer and Dawn Opaliski and her fiancé, Sammy Holland, all of Curwensville. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield, with the Rev. Father Mark J. Mastrian as celebrant.
