Charles J. Pasternak, 75, of DuBois died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at Christ the King Manor.
Born Dec. 3, 1939 in Clune, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Patrick) Pasternak.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
On Aug. 6, 1966, he married Helen I. (Case) Pasternak. She survives.
He retired as a customer service representative from the Lezzer Lumber Company in DuBois after 21 years of service. Prior to that, he drove bus for 27 years for Fullington Trailways.
He was a member of the Lakeside United Methodist Church. He was very involved in the DuBois Area High School Athletic Super Boosters.
He enjoyed being with his family; however, his greatest joy was following his children and grandchildren in their many activities.
He is survived by a daughter, Christine M. Young and her husband, Doug and two sons, Charles J. Pasternak II and his wife, Becky and Michael S. Pasternak and his wife, Heather, all of DuBois; a sister, Eileen McIntyre and her husband, James of Reynoldsville; and six grandchildren, Adam and Megan Young, Casey and Ryan Pasternak and Alex and Morgan Pasternak.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lakeside United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Zilhaver officiating.
The DuBois Area Honor Guard will conduct a ritual service from Lakeside United Methodist Church prior to the services at 1 p.m.
Full military honors will be accorded from the church by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Burial will be Morningside Cemetery.
