Donald E. Beck, 77, of South Philipsburg died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at his residence.
Born April 18, 1938, he was a son of the late Clarence and Catherine Sarah (McDonald) Beck. He was a member of the New Life Center, Philipsburg.
Mr. Beck was a heavy equipment operator with the coal industry until his retirement.
On July 11, 1959 at the First Baptist Church in Philipsburg, he wed the former Patricia E. Vaux. She preceded him in death on Aug. 7, 2013.
Mr. Beck is survived by a daughter, Beverly R. Boulton and her husband, Randy of South Philipsburg; a son, Barry A. Beck of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Margaret “Peggy” Frank of Lock Haven; and a brother, Thomas “Tucker” Beck and his wife, Renee of Philipsburg.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, Misty (Boulton) Dixon and her husband, Merlyn, Dusty Boulton and Bethany Boulton, all of South Philipsburg; a great-grandson, Joseph Samuel Dixon, all of South Philipsburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg, with Pastor John T. Dill officiating. Burial will be at Philipsburg Cemetery.
