CLEARFIELD – During Tuesday’s municipal election, four candidates jockeyed for the three seats on the board of commissioners for Clearfield County.
Candidates included incumbents John A. Sobel, Republican, and Mark B. McCracken, Democrat. Both were joined on the ballot by Tony Scotto, Republican, and Trudy Lumadue, Democrat.
Sobel and McCracken were both re-elected to the commissioners’ office. McCracken first took office in 2004 and Sobel in 2008.
Scotto will join the pair of incumbents in the commissioners’ office next year. Scotto is currently the Clearfield County Controller.
In other county races, incumbent District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr., Democrat, won re-election over opponent Leanne R. Nedza, Republican.
Incumbent Treasurer Carol A. Fox, Democrat, won re-election over opponent Andrea C. Schickling, Republican.
Both incumbents Maurene E. Inlow, Republican, and Mike Morris, Democrat/Republican, were unopposed for re-election for register and recorder and coroner, respectively.
