Roy M. Turner, 80, of Frenchville went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015 after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Turner was born Dec. 18, 1934 in Clearfield to the late Marvin and Lucille (Irwin) Turner. He attended the Clearfield Area Schools.
He worked at farming with his father, later at Piper Aircraft at the Quehanna location and then for the Lezzer Lumber Company before he retired in 2000.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1963. He was an active member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
Mr. Turner is survived by two brothers, Howard and his wife, Carol of Curwensville and Neil and his wife, Marcella of Lancaster and a number of nephews and nieces and their families who were very close to him. He also is survived by a number of cousins from the area.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, Woodland, with Pastor Sean Patrick Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends and family will be received from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.
