CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area United Way recently held its first report luncheon at the St. Charles Café.
Volunteers announced that the total raised was up to $154,151, or 63 percent, of the $245,000 Campaign Goal for 2015-16.
The funds raised help 24 local member agencies located throughout eastern, southern and central Clearfield County.
“We are asking companies, residents, clubs, professionals, businesses, etc. to give, and that will help the United Way create opportunities for a better tomorrow in our communities,” said Campaign Chair Debbie Bowser.
“We hope they will look at all of the 24 member agencies we help day-in, day-out because they reach infants to the elderly. We hope folks will send in a tax deductible donation today to: Clearfield Area United Way, 18 N. Second St., P.O. 1430, Clearfield, PA 16830.”
The CAUW also has a Legacy Giving Program within its Named Fund for donors. The fund is for donors who want to ensure that the United Way is “Leaving a Thumbprint” for the next 75 years. Information on Jeans for Teens, the Reading Ripples Project and more is available by calling 814-765-6521, Bowser added.
