State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an accident Monday on the Troy – Hawk Run Highway in Morris Township. Paul N. Brown of Grassflat and Dale A. Baney Jr. of Osceola Mills were traveling northbound. Brown was unable to see that the Baney vehicle had stopped in traffic in front of him due to a glare from the sun. As a result, the Brown vehicle rear-ended the Baney vehicle. No injuries were reported, and both operators were wearing their seatbelts, state police said. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage; state police were assisted at the scene by the Morrisdale Fire Company and towing services.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police cited a Philipsburg man for allegedly making repeated and unnecessary phone calls to both the Clearfield 911 Center and the state police at Philipsburg. This, state police said, allegedly caused a delay in additional incoming emergency calls after he was told to cease his actions. A total of 22 calls were allegedly made by the man between 7:45 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday, state police said.
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Sunday on South Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. State police served a warrant and while doing so, a Philipsburg woman allegedly caused a disturbance. She was charged for the incident through the district court, state police said.
- State police received a report about an alleged burglary Oct. 2 on North Eighth Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, two, known Philipsburg juveniles allegedly entered the victim’s garage and removed three bicycles. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment from a township resident. During the incident, someone allegedly put dog feces on the door handle of the victim’s vehicle.
- Police were dispatched to the Glen Richey Highway, where farm animals were reportedly on the roadway. Upon arrival police found the owner attempting to capture the animals.
- Police received a report about an alleged bad check. Charges are pending at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a psychiatric emergency. The patient was transported to the hospital by emergency personnel, police said.
- Police received a report about gun shots along Route 879. Police were able to determine that it was fireworks.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a business on River Road. Upon arrival police found employees at the business.
Curwensville Borough
- Police arrested two people over the weekend for allegedly operating their vehicles while under the influence of alcohol.
- Police received a report about bad checks that were allegedly passed at a local establishment. Upon investigation a Philipsburg woman was charged with bad checks and theft by deception.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred in the Schofield Street area on Saturday.
- Police have initiated an investigation into alleged vandalism to several properties. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
