The online shopping season is looming, and PayPal wants to help cover the costs of those “shouldn’t have bought that” purchases.
The company will reimburse its U.S. customers’ shipping costs for up to four returns of items purchased between October 13, 2015 and January 31, 2016.
The maximum amount that PayPal will cover is $30 for each return shipment.
PayPal customers in almost 40 other countries had already been able to take advantage of this service before its U.S. debut on Tuesday.
“Options like refunds on return shipping costs, formerly considered a perk or promotional tool offered by retailers, are now integral to getting a consumer to click that buy button online,” PayPal executive Jo Lambert said in a statement.
Target.com, the Apple Store, Macy’s and Walmart are among some of the big online retailers that accept PayPal as payment.
