Eugene R. Lender, 63, of Houtzdale died Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 at his home.
Born Feb. 17, 1952 in Osceola Mills, he was the son of the late Edward and Wava (Brickley) Lender.
He married Ruth E. (Custred) Lender on Nov. 14, 1987 in Philipsburg. She survives at home.
Mr. Lender was a member of the Sanborn Church of God. Â He was a heavy equipment operator/foreman for several local coal companies. Mr. Lender was a graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Gunter.
Along with his wife, Mr. Lender is survived by two sons, Joshua R. Lender of Smoke Run and Mark Lender and his wife, Miriam of Virginia and a daughter, Kelly Eignor and her husband, Eugene of Virginia.
He is survived by three sisters, Delores Ralston and her husband, Allen of Osceola Mills, Janet Wardman and her husband, Lynn of Satellite Beach, Fla., and Kathy Molta and her husband, Tom of Washington and four brothers, Alton Lender and his wife, Kay of Clearfield and Lee Lender and his wife, Laura, Darold E. Lender and his wife, Carolyn L. and Ken Lender, all of Osceola Mills.
Mr. Lender is also survived by three grandchildren, Ethan, Benjamin and Dulaney Eignor and a brother-in-law, Barry Gunter.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Earnest E. Simmers officiating. Â Burial will be at the Sanborn Cemetery in (Sanborn) Rural Houtzdale.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
