Spirit of DuBois Lantern Walk
The Spirit of DuBois Lantern Walk will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10; it will feature the “Spirits of Rumbarger Cemetary.” The first tour leaves from Penn Highlands DuBois at 5 p.m.; additional tours will depart every 20 minutes. The cost of the Lantern Walk is $5 for adults and $3 for students; it is free for children who are sixth grade and younger if they’re accompanied by an adult.

The Greater Clearfield Chamber of Commerce and Starr Hill Vineyard & Winery are hosting the Chamber’s Wine Festival on Saturday, Oct. 10. It will be along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and feature the band “Hops & Vines.” You can park at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds Expo I Building to register and catch a free trolley to the event at the Buck’s Pizza parking lot. The Dam Darkness night race will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 on the trails at the Curwensville Lake Recreation Area. The challenge is running the trails in the dark; there is a seven-mile course and a 5K-course. Both courses are marked with glow sticks and reflective materials. The 13th annual Cider Press and Tasting will be held from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Laurel Mountain Vineyard on Sunday, Oct. 11. Clearfield County Historical Society Fall Festival
Bloody Knox Log Cabin
The Clearfield County Historical Society will hold its annual apple cider outing and fall festival from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Oct. 11.
The event will be held at the Bloody Knox log cabin site in Kellytown, Knox Township, rain or shine. All are welcome to enjoy free samples and assist in making cider, churning butter, grinding corn, making rope and learn about blacksmithing, spinning yarn and making corn brooms.
The first 100 kids get to decorate a free pumpkin. Games will be held, including an egg toss at 2 p.m.
The log cabin will be open for tours explaining 1860’s living conditions, and history talks on the Civil War resistance will be held in the front yard at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The Comedy of Errors tells the story of two sets of identical twins that were accidentally separated at birth. Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant, Dromio of Syracuse, arrive in Ephesus, which turns out to be the home of their twin brothers, Antipholus of Ephesus and his servant, Dromio of Ephesus.
When the Syracusans encounter the friends and families of their twins a series of wild mishaps based on mistaken identities lead to wrongful beatings, a near-seduction, the arrest of Antipholus of Ephesus, and false accusations of infidelity, theft, madness, and demonic possession.
