Most actors would be thrilled to have a longstanding gig.
Daniel Craig, perhaps not so much.
At least one fellow performer appeared less than thrilled with Craig’s recent reported remarks that he was over playing James Bond.
“Grey’s Anatomy” star Ellen Pompeo tweeted a response to the British actor, who told Time Out London, “I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists” than think about doing another Bond film.
“I’m over it at the moment,” Craig told the publication. “We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”
“This dude needs a reality check,” Pompeo tweeted along with a link to a story about Craig’s remarks.
But hold on.
One person pointed out on Twitter that Craig’s remarks, which were part of a longer interview, may not be what they appear to be. Pompeo conceded that point.
“You are absolutely right!” she tweeted. “I certainly have been there.”
It’s been almost a decade since Craig took on the role of the suave spy. His latest, “Spectre,” is due in U.S. theaters on November 6.
