State police at DuBois
- State police investigated an alleged incident of DUI that occurred Thursday on Smithtown Road in Washington Township. During the incident, a 32-year-old Falls Creek man was allegedly observed driving his all-terrain vehicle and committing several violations, such as running several stop sign and passing in a no passing zone. State police followed the ATV, which turned at a Smithtown Road residence. While making contact with the man, state police allegedly detected a strong odor of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for DUI and other summary offenses, and those charges are pending blood test results, state police said.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime Sept. 18-19 on Route 36 in Bell Township. During the incident, someone allegedly put sugar and water in the gas tanks of two vehicles that belonged to the victim, which caused disabling damage. - State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Sept. 22 on Ridge Road in Burnside Township. During the incident, someone allegedly threw a coffee mug into the driver’s side door and rear quarter panel of the victim’s vehicle, causing damage to both. Clearfield Borough
- Police are investigating an alleged theft incident that occurred in the borough. During the incident, someone allegedly gained access to a victim’s financial information and used it to make several unauthorized purchases.
- Police recovered property that was allegedly stolen from a residence.
- Police handled an alleged incident of trespassing that occurred at a residence along Daisy Street.
- A bike was turned into police after it was found abandoned along North Front Street.
- Police received a report regarding a civil issue. The caller was advised to seek legal advice regarding the issue, police said.
- Police assisted with a juvenile who was allegedly causing problems on a school van. Police spoke to the parent of the child; they also warned the child for his actions.
- Police responded to North Fifth Street for a report about a male who was allegedly causing problems and attempting to gain access into a residence. Police arrived at the scene and handled the incident.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to an activated alarm at the Discovery House that was determined to be accidental.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft at Lowe’s.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident along the Clearfield – Curwensville Highway.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred in the Mann Road area.
- Police responded to Wal-Mart for a possible intoxicated person. Upon arrival police determined the person was having a medical issue and requested emergency personnel to transport them to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital.
