DUBOIS – A Luthersburg man is accused of selling drugs to undercover officers.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office Sept. 24, Brian Lee Schaffer, 44, 173 Luthersburg/Rockton Rd.,. P.O. Box 9, Luthersburg, Pa., is charged by the Punxsutawney-based state police with delivery of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance.
In a second case, Schaffer is charged by the Punxsutawney-based state police with delivery of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance.
In the first case, state troopers met with an undercover informant on Feb. 26, who told police they could purchase methamphetamine from Schaffer. The informant had been sending text messages to Schaffer and the two agreed to meet in the parking lot of Martin’s grocery store.
The informant was given money to make the purchase, and the troopers conducted surveillance as the informant met with Schaffer. The informant returned and turned over a baggie containing a substance, which was later identified as methamphetamine.
In the second case, state troopers met with an undercover informant on Feb. 27, who told police they could purchase methamphetamine from Schaffer. The informant had been sending text messages to Schaffer and the two agreed to meet at the Sheetz parking at the intersection of Routes 322 and 219.
The informant was given money to make the purchase, and the troopers conducted surveillance as the informant met with Schaffer. The informant returned and turned over a baggie containing a substance, which was later identified as methamphetamine.
