Scott P. Crago, 54, of Clearfield died unexpectedly but peacefully in his home on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015.
Born March 23, 1961, he was the son of Chris and Pat Crago of Clearfield.
He was a 1979 graduate of Clearfield High School and a member of the Clearfield Presbyterian Church.
For more than 30 years, he was employed by FedEx in the Clearfield area until he transferred to their facility in Herndon, Va., in 2008.
He will best be remembered for his many years as a devoted volunteer for Clearfield Community Theatre and the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre.
He had also been a member of St. John Studio Theatre and was instrumental in the founding of CAST in 1983. He was looking forward to becoming involved with the new group at CAST.
Along with his parents, he is survived by these aunts and uncles: John and Carol Crago of Clearfield, Andy and Carol Crago of Windermere, Fla., Mary Frances Stiffler of Virginia Beach, Va., and Barbara and Hayward Anderson of Marinette, WI.
He is also survived by many close cousins and many beloved friends who lured him back to his hometown.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bob and Jenny Kane; his paternal grandparents, John and Martha Crago; and uncles Dan Kane, Michael Kane and Gerald Stiffler.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at The Presbyterian Church, Clearfield, with the Rev. J. Robert Mellgard and Richard Barkley officiating. Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield, at the convenience of the family.
The family strongly suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre, P.O. Box 613, Clearfield, PA 16830.
