State police at Clearfield

• State police received a report about an alleged incident of theft/criminal mischief that occurred sometime Monday or Tuesday on Houtz Street in Woodward Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole several American flags from the victim’s yard. They also allegedly damaged multiple landscape decorations. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
• State police responded to an accident Tuesday on Interstate 80 at mile-marker 116.2 eastbound in Lawrence Township. Further, Kenneth A. Frederick, 60, of Brockway lost control of his freightliner on the wet roadway. It traveled into the median, impacted an embankment and overturned. No injuries were reported as a result; however, the freightliner sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene, state police said.
• State police responded to an accident Tuesday on I-80 at mile-marker 120 westbound in Lawrence Township. Further, the operator of an International Harvester lost control and their unit slid into the median. No injuries were reported as a result, and the unit was driven from the scene, state police said.

State police at DuBois

• State police received a report about an alleged incident of theft, criminal mischief and criminal trespass that occurred sometime Saturday or Sunday on Gilbert Road in Warsaw Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed two red and gray T posts from a gated lane. Once the posts were removed, they allegedly utilized a vehicle to enter posted private property and to remove approximately four truckloads of firewood before fleeing the scene.
• State police received a report about an alleged simple assault/domestic violence incident Tuesday on Beechton Road in Washington Township. Upon arrival state police allegedly determined that a Brockway couple had engaged in a verbal argument, which turned physical. Both a male and female allegedly shoved each other. Also, at one point, the female allegedly choked, hit and scratched the male on or about his face, neck and shoulders. The female was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment; the male was issued a non-traffic citation for harassment, state police said.
• State police have initiated an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that occurred in July at Kyle Lake in Washington Township.
• State police have initiated an investigation into an alleged child pornography incident that occurred in November of 2014 at a Brady Township residence. Further, state police said the victim allegedly sent the 19-year-old male suspect a nude photograph when he requested it. The suspect allegedly knew the victim was 15 years old.

Clearfield Borough

• Police responded to a traffic complaint along Healey Avenue. Further, police were advised that vehicles were blocking access to the alley. Police were able to handle the incident at the scene.
• Police assisted emergency personnel at a residence along West Second Avenue. A fall patient was transported to the hospital for further treatment, police said.
• Police assisted agents from State Parole in apprehending a fugitive along Merrill Street.
• Police had a Pennsylvania identification card turned into them after it was found along South Third Street. Police are attempting to contact the owner.
• Police were called to the hospital for a mental health patient who was allegedly being disorderly. Police were able to calm the patient down while at the scene.
• Police cited a male for underage consumption after he was allegedly found to be consuming alcohol while at Lower Witmer Park.
• Police received a report about a juvenile who was missing and not answering his phone. The juvenile later returned home, police said.
• Police received a report about a disabled vehicle along East Market Street.
• Police received a report about a vehicle that was allegedly damaged while parked along the 400 block of East Cherry Street. The actor’s vehicle fled the scene, police said.
• Police are investigating an alleged theft of video games from a residence along East Walnut Street.

Lawrence Township

• Police received a report about a vehicle accident with injuries on Supercenter Drive.
• Police received a report about students who were allegedly intoxicated at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
• Police responded to a psychological emergency on the Clearfield – Woodland Highway.
• Police received multiple traffic complaints in the area of Country Club Circle.
• Police received a report about a male who was allegedly being disorderly at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop. Police were able to handle the incident without criminal charges.
• Police responded to a local nursing home, where a patient was having a mental health issue. The patient, according to police, was transported to the hospital for an evaluation. Police were assisted at the scene by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services.

DuBois City

• Police were dispatched to Kirk Alley for a couple that was allegedly fighting on Tuesday. Further, police located them sometime later and allegedly determined that they were intoxicated. They also denied being involved in a physical fight. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• On Tuesday police handled five calls for service in relation to the rain storm. Further, police indicated that these calls ranged from flooded roadways to exposed man holes from the rush of water in the lines. City public works employees and fire personnel assisted police.

Sandy Township

• Police received a report about two false alarms at a state Route 219 residence on Monday.
• A locksmith reported receiving a call to change the locks at a home on Monday. When he arrived at the home the resident allegedly did not know anything about getting his locks changed, police said.
• A Behringer Highway resident reported someone threw trash in his yard on Monday.
• On Monday a driver was unable to stop his vehicle in time to avoid hitting another that was stopped in traffic on East DuBois Avenue. The second vehicle then struck the one in front of them, police said.
• A 39-year-old Sykesville woman reported that someone damaged the rear panel of her vehicle while it was parked either at Wal-Mart or Christ the King Manor on Monday.
• A Home Camp Road woman reported her dog, a black wiener/lab mix, ran off on Monday.
• On Monday a 23-year-old man was allegedly arguing with family members at a Hungry Hollow Road residence. Officers handled the situation without incident.
• A 36-year-old DuBois woman lost control of her vehicle while traveling Tuesday on the Rich Highway. It then hit a sign and overturned twice before coming to rest on its driver’s side. The woman was taken to the hospital by her husband, and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
• Police received a report about an alleged intoxicated male who was outside of an Eastern Avenue residence on Tuesday. According to police, the 39-year-old DuBois man went to the residence, and when a female wouldn’t open the door he called the police. Upon arrival officers found the man standing in the front yard.  He was allegedly intoxicated and said he had come to the residence to get his keys.  Officers handled the situation without incident, and the man will be charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
• A South Main Street resident called 911 when she went outside of her home and found a man laying in the ditch on Tuesday. The 53-year-old Burt Street man was charged with public drunkenness and transported to Penn Highlands by emergency personnel.
• On Tuesday a DuBois woman alleged that someone took a license plate off of her Freight Liner water truck.
• A Tozier Avenue resident alleged that someone on a blue and white dirt bike hit and damaged her vehicle and then left the scene on Tuesday.
• On Tuesday a 32-year-old Brookville woman was allegedly caught concealing merchandise in her purse and attempting to take it without paying for it at Wal-Mart. Charges for retail theft will be filed, police said.
• Police received a report about a false alarm at Save A Lot on Tuesday.
