CLEARFIELD – On Monday night, the Clearfield school board approved a settlement agreement with Konchan Inc. in regards to the Girard-Goshen Elementary School.
The settlement was in the amount of $155,000, according to Superintendent Terry Struble. He said that the district still has to resolve litigation with three, other contractors.
According to him, litigation still has to be resolved with Mid State Construction (general contractor); RNR Construction Company (metal decking/roof); and URS Corp. (construction management).
Girard-Goshen was constructed in 2002. However, it was temporarily closed by the district in 2010 due to structural issues with its roof. Girard-Goshen was permanently closed in 2012, according to previously published GANT reports.
