Nine people died and 45 were injured in a suicide bombing at a sports stadium in eastern Afghanistan, according to a spokesman for the Interior Ministry.
The attack happened Sunday night in Paktika province, according to the spokesman, Sediq Sediqi.
The Taliban issued a statement denying involvement in the attack.
