COOPER TOWNSHIP – A Morrisdale man, Nicholas J. Wisor Jr., was airlifted to Altoona after he sustained major injuries in a motorcycle accident during the early morning hours Sunday in Cooper Township.
According to state police at Clearfield, Wisor was traveling west on Pearce Hollow Road and too fast to properly negotiate a left-hand turn in the roadway. His motorcycle skidded off the left side and impacted a tree.
Wisor sustained major injuries, including a suspected broken femur, and he was airlifted to Altoona. He was wearing a motorcycle helmet and eye protection, state police said.
Wisor’s motorcycle sustained disabling damage. State police were assisted at the scene by Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services and the Morris-Cooper and Winburne fire companies.
