Richard R. Snyder, 74, of Sandy Ridge died on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born Oct., 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Charles and Edith (Sharpless) Snyder.
He married Virginia E. (Hosband) Snyder on June 12, 1965 in Sandy Ridge. She survives at home.
Mr. Snyder was a member of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Sandy Ridge.
He had worked at Fleet Operations for Penn State University. He was a 1959 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Snyder and a sister-in-law, Patty Snyder.
Along with his wife, Mr. Snyder is survived by two sons, David R. Snyder of Sandy Ridge and Brian D. Snyder of Osceola Mills.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with Pastor Terry N. Daugherty officiating. Â Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
