Joseph James Gavlock Jr., 43, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015 as the result of a pedestrian-vehicle accident in Lawrence Township.
He was born Jan. 12, 1972 in Clearfield, the son of Joseph James Gavlock Sr. and Patty A. (Lucas) Livergood.
Mr. Gavlock Jr. had worked for various construction companies. He was affiliated with the Clearfield Alliance Church.
Mr. Gavlock Jr. is survived by his mother, Patty A. Livergood of Clearfield; his former wife, Mandy L. Martin of Clearfield; and four children, Joseph James Gavlock III, Johnathan Andrew Gavlock, Madison Elizabeth Gavlock and Noah Daniel Gavlock, all of Clearfield.
He is also survived by a brother, Shawn McGonigal of Clearfield; his companion, Linda Collier of Punxsutawney; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph James Gavlock Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Kitty Gavlock; his maternal grandparents, Perry and Pearl Passmore; his great-grandmother, Virginia Bumbarger; a special aunt and uncle, John and Carol Rauch; and his best friend, Jason Merrit.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, with Dr. Duane White officiating. Burial will be in the Centre Cemetery, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
