A hair above 2% — that’s been the average wage growth over the past year.
But workers in some jobs have seen their total pay go up quite a bit more.
Jobs site Glassdoor found 20 jobs with the largest growth in pay over the past year.
Topping the list is the position of business systems analyst, which offers median pay of $81,000, up 10% from a year ago. That’s inclusive of base pay, bonuses and commissions.
Tying for second is the job of security officer ($24,000) and sales consultant ($49,008), both of which saw median pay rise 7%.
Among all 20 jobs on the list, half offer median pay well above the national median household income of $53,657.
The three highest paying? Software engineer ($105,000); network engineer ($87,903) and research scientist ($85,000).
Glassdoor based its median pay results on at least 500 salary reports from employees for each position between mid-September 2014 and mid-September 2015.
